The 2023-24 NBA season has come to a close, which means it's time to prepare for next season. Step one in that process is the NBA Draft and following a shocking NBA Draft Lottery, the Atlanta Hawks have the honor of selecting first overall. Zaccharie Risacher: The 2024 NBA Draft is likely to open with an international prospect taken off the board. At 19, Risacher played most recently in the LNB Pro A, the top pro league in France. Of the top two international prospects, Risacher has the most pro experience despite being just 19, and he offers an appealing shot-making ability.

As the draft process has gone on, more teams have seemingly bought in on Risacher being the highest upside prospect in the class, which has made him the favorite to go first overall.

Donovan Clingan: In two short seasons in college basketball, Donovan Clingan put together quite the resume. With two National Championships at UConn, Clingan became quite comfortable with the big stage and has certainly shown NBA teams that he can be a game-changing big man. After a few strong workouts, Clingan has reportedly become more of a possibility to be the first pick, as Atlanta was able to bring him in for a workout, unlike Sarr.

Alexandre Sarr: We've started to see more players from the Australian National Basketball League make their way to the NBA, and Alexandre Sarr looks to be the next big name. The 7'1 Frenchman shot 52% from the field and was 4th in the NBL in blocks this past season.

While Sarr was once the heavy favorite to go first overall, reports say the Atlanta Hawks have not been able to get him in for a workout. Without being able to get eyes on him this close to the draft, Sarr may need Atlanta to trade back in order to hear his name called first, as it is rumored that the San Antonio Spurs have been interested in pairing him with Victor Wembanyama.
