Aaron Judge (New York Yankees): Baseball fans watched Aaron Judge make history just two seasons ago, and at one point, he looked to be on pace to make MLB history again this season. While Judge did go through an extended streak of not hitting a home run, he got back on track against the Boston Red Sox by hitting two home runs, including a clutch go-ahead grand slam. Overall, the Yankees captain will enter the final week of the season, hitting .325 with 58 home runs and 144 RBIs.
Bobby Witt Jr. (Kansas City Royals): If it weren't for Judge, the AL MVP would've likely been Witt's award, especially with how he's played in the second half of the season. Between his hitting numbers and running ability, the Royals shortstop is currently second in the league in offensive WAR. He is also the MLB leader in hits (209) and is third in total bases (372).
Gunnar Henderson (Baltimore Orioles): One season removed from winning Rookie of the Year, Gunnar Henderson has continued his ascension into superstardom. The second-year slugger has continued to produce big power numbers and will enter the final regular season series hitting .284 with 37 home runs and 91 RBIs.

Shohei Ohtani (Los Angeles Dodgers): Shohei Ohtani is the favorite to win the NL MVP, and he's been able to get into this position without stepping foot on the mound. Ohtani became the first player in MLB history to reach 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in the same season and helped the Dodgers clinch yet another NL West title.
Francisco Lindor (New York Mets): During the beginning of the season, Mets fans were calling for Lindor to be shipped out of the Big Apple, but by the end of the year, they were calling for him to win the MVP. While trying to keep the Mets in the postseason picture, Lindor has essentially put the team on his back, hitting .271 with a .836 OPS and 86 RBIs this season.
Marcell Ozuna (Atlanta Braves): Ozuna has been a mainstay on the NL MVP odds board all season, and after slipping outside the top five, his stretch of play at the end of the season has shot him back up into the top three. With the Braves injuries mounting, they needed to rely on Ozuna to produce at the dish, and he's undoubtedly answered that call, as he is knocking on the door of 40 home runs and has already reached the 100 RBI mark.
