The cool breeze in the air means a few things, and one of those things is postseason baseball. With the postseason underway, MLB bettors can look to start placing postseason futures. While some futures markets like exactas, seeding, and outright winners have been on the board for most of the season, one market that is just now starting to hit shops is the World Series MVP winner.
This market can provide a lot of value when betting it early, but it can also bring a lot of risk since players always have the possibility of not making it to the Fall Classic. Down below, we'll keep bettors updated on all odds movements from the start of the postseason until the final World Series game.

Shohei Ohtani (Los Angeles Dodgers): Since the postseason started, Ohtani and Tatis Jr. have taken turns occupying the top of the oddsboard. Well, after a game-five win for LA, Ohtani is back on top. In his first Championship Series game, Ohtani went 2-4 with an RBI on the way to a Dodgers win.
Aaron Judge (New York Yankees): Despite all his success in the Majors, Aaron Judge has never played in a World Series game. New York has consistently fallen short of the Fall Classic, but with Judge and Soto in the middle of the lineup, they hope to break that streak. Judge is on his way to his second career AL MVP award, but much like Betts, he'll be looking to improve his performance in the postseason, as he hit .139 with a .490 OPS in 36 postseason at-bats in 2023 and has started the 2024 postseason by going 2-13 with five strikeouts.
Juan Soto (New York Yankees): As young as he is, Soto has experienced the pinnacle of baseball by winning a World Series. In his first season with the Yankees, Soto is in an excellent spot to play in his second career Fall Classic, and he certainly got his postseason off to a hot start, going 3-5 in game one of the ALDS, and picking up an RBI in game three and four.
