Notes and Updates

With their blowout win over the Cowboys, the Detroit Lions are now tied as the favorite or slightly behind the Vikings for the best odds to win the NFC North.
Even with a loss, the Washington Commanders now have the best odds to win the NFC East in most shops.
The Washington Commanders now have the second-best odds to win the NFC East after winning their third consecutive game.
As a result of their second straight loss, the New York Jets are now +320 or higher to win the AFC East.
Behind Sam Darnold, the Minnesota Vikings moved to 4-0 with a win over the Packers, which made them the favorites to win the NFC North over the Lions.
After starting the season 2-0, the New Orleans Saints are now 2-2 and have the third-best odds to win the NFC South.
Following their loss to the Buccaneers, the Philadelphia Eagles remain the favorite to win the NFC East, but they are now plus money in most shops.
As a result of starting 0-3, the Cincinnati Bengals have the third-best odds to win the AFC North behind the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Notable Division Trends

The Kansas City Chiefs have not lost the AFC West since 2015, meaning they've won it eight straight years.
The last time the Cleveland Browns won their division was 1989.
From 2009 to 2019, the New England Patriots won the AFC East. In total, they've won the division 17 times since 2000.
After not winning a division title since 1995, the Buffalo Bills have won the AFC East the past four seasons.
Since the AFC South was started in 2002, the Indianapolis Colts hold the record with nine division titles. They are also the only team in the division's history to win an AFC Championship game and Super Bowl.
The New York Giants have not won the NFC East since 2011, the same year they won the Super Bowl.
Before 2023, the last time the Detroit Lions won the NFC North was 1993.
The Atlanta Falcons have the fewest NFC South titles with four.
