2024 World Series Odds

Over the past few seasons, the same teams have sat atop the World Series odds board for a large majority of the year. However, as we saw last year with the Diamondbacks vs. Rangers World Series, value can be found when taking a future bet on a team outside the top five favorites.

Currently, the usual suspects of the Dodgers, Phillies, and Yankees sit atop most odds boards, but one stretch of hot play from a team outside the top five could shake up the entire betting board. With that, weโ€™ll lay out the 2024 World Series odds across most of the top sports betting apps in New York.

The Favorites

Los Angeles Dodgers (+320 to +333): The Dodgers' ability to grow a large lead in the NL West just become incredibly important as they are still not very close to getting Mookie Betts back from his fractured hand. If LA wants to make a deep postseason run, they will certainly need the former MVP, but just getting to the postseason should not be much of an issue, especially since they are 5th in average runs allowed per game (3.89).

The only area of the team that could hold them back is their pitching staff, which has been crushed by injuries and is currently below league average in FIP (4.11).

Philadelphia Phillies (+375 to +500): Behind their stellar rotation, the Phillies have been in first place in the NL East for a large majority of the season.

Not only do the Phillies have four starters inside the top ten for NL Cy Young odds, but their lineup is currently inside the top seven in OPS+, SLG, and home run percentage. To make things even better, it is expected that JT Realmuto will be rejoining the team soon, so for the most part, they will be fully healthy to start the second half of the season.

New York Yankees (+525 to +550): The battle for the AL East crown has been a tight race between the Bronx Bombers and the young Baltimore Orioles, and headed into the All-Star break, it seemed like neither team wanted to grab control of the division. While the Yankees beat Baltimore in their final series before the break, they still sit one game behind in the division and still have a few areas they need to address before the trade deadline.

On the bright side, New York still has the current MVP favorite Aaron Judge and Juan Soto leading offense, but aside from that duo, it has been difficult for them to find consistent production. The talent on the roster is certainly better than it has been in past seasons, but New York is still at risk of another early playoff departure if they don't find consistency on the mound and at the plate.
