Below, we’ll look at the updated odds for each team to win the AL or NL across all the top sportsbooks in Arizona.

New York Yankees: The Yankees remain the favorite to win the AL East and the American League, and while the talent is there, the questions are also there. Inconsistency on offense was a big reason for New York's extended losing slide. Not to mention, the bullpen also remains an area of the team that could undoubtedly burn them in the postseason. While the starting rotation looks to be in a good spot, there are a lot of questions about who Aaron Boone will hand the ball too late in a postseason game.
Baltimore Orioles: The young and talented Orioles had a golden opportunity to run away with the AL East with the Yankees struggling, but they squandered that opportunity. Now, they are fighting to regain the lead in the division. The current concern in Baltimore is their starters, as they rank 20th in xFIP over the last 30 days, per FanGraphs.
Houston Astros: It's been an up-and-down season in Houston, but they have finally garnered control of the AL West. With the Mariners fading offensively, the Astros' pitching staff has helped them bolster their playoff position. While this may not be an Astros team we've become used to, Yordan Alvarez is still in the middle of the order, and we know what Houston can do once the playoffs start.

Los Angeles Dodgers: Before the trade deadline, the Dodgers roster did not look like the typical overpowering team they usually have. However, they quickly addressed that by adding Jack Flaherty. With that addition, mixed with the fact that Mookie Betts has returned from injury, LA seems to be in a much better spot to make a deeper postseason run.
Philadelphia Phillies: The current Phillies' core group of players has already proven they can reach the World Series. Winning in September and October seems to come naturally to the Phillies. While they struggled at the beginning of the second half of the season, Philadelphia has gotten back on track and is now in pursuit of the number one overall seed in the NL.
San Diego Padres: The Padres may be unable to steal the NL West from the Dodgers, but they have been playing well enough to maintain their position as the top NL Wild Card team. Offensively, the Padres are in the best possible spot they could be in, but much like the Orioles in the AL, there are some questions about their starting rotation, as San Diego is 19th in xFIP over the past 30 days (FanGraphs).
