NCAAF 2024 Conference Championship Odds | SEC, ACC, Big-10, and Big-12

The SEC has remained the premier conference in college football, and this season, the talent pool gets even deeper, with Texas and Oklahoma joining the mix. Following week four, there are currently nine SEC teams in ESPN's Top 25.

Aside from the College Football Playoff, winning the SEC Title game is one of the biggest wins a team can have each season, and here we'll break down the odds of winning the Conference Championship game for the historic Southeastern Conference.

Texas Longhorns: Quinn Ewers and the Texas Longhorns are making quite the jump from the Big 12 to the SEC, but on the bright side, they are entering the league in its first season without Nick Saban controlling the Alabama sideline for quite some time. The Longhorns opened their 2024 season with a blowout win and followed that up with another dominant performance over the Michigan Wolverines on the road. While Ewers would exit the Longhorns' third game with an oblique injury, Arch Manning has stepped in and thrived in his absence. Ewers is expected to return this weekend for the Red River Rivalry.

Georgia Bulldogs: After winning back-to-back National Championships, the Georgia Bulldogs failed to make the College Football Playoff last season. Georgia opened the 2024 season on a high note, but since then, they have not looked like the dominant team we've become used to. After struggling to beat Kentucky, the Bulldogs went on the road and lost to Alabama, which makes their margin for error in the conference very small moving forward.

Alabama Crimson Tide: In the first game of the Kalen DeBoer era, the Crimson Tide picked up a blowout win over Western Kentucky. During that game, Jalen Milroe proved he would be picking up where he left off last season, so the real question for Alabama is how they'll play against the top teams in the conference with Nick Saban no longer on the sideline. That question was undoubtedly answered when the Crimson Tide beat Georgia 41-34 to make them the new favorites to win the SEC. However, the question of whether they could beat Vanderbilt was not answered, as the Crimson Tide suffered a huge upset loss over the weekend.

While there was extensive debate about it, the ACC did not have a representative in the 2023 College Football Playoff. After losing Jordan Travis to an injury, the selection committee decided Florida State would not receive an invite to the CFP despite still winning the ACC Title game.

Entering the 2024 season, the Seminoles were favored to become repeat champions but after dropping their first three games, the Miami Hurricanes are the new favorites. The Canes look to be in control of the conference with Cam Ward under center, but there are certainly a few teams who could steal the throne from them this season, and we'll break down all of those teams' odds to win the 2024 ACC Championship game.

Miami Hurricanes: The Canes acquired Cam Ward this offseason, hoping he would lead the program back to the promised land. While it's early, that decision could have saved Mario Cristobal's job. Ward led the Canes to a blowout win over the Florida Gators in week one, and after squeezing by Virginia Tech and Cal with narrow victories, the Canes' toughest test remaining is Louisville.

Clemson Tigers: Last season, the Clemson Tigers became a non-factor in the ACC for the first time in years. Well, the 2024 season did not get off to a better start, as the Tigers fell 34-3 to the Georgia Bulldogs. The Tigers did get back on track with a win against App State, and they followed that up with wins over NC State, Stanford, and Florida State.

SMU Mustangs: The Mustangs stumbled a bit out of the gate, barely sneaking by Nevada and falling to BYU. However, since making a quarterback change, the Mustangs have been on a roll. In their toughest ACC test up to this point, the Mustangs were able to go into Louisville and walk away with a seven-point win. At this point, the only game the Mustangs have against a ranked opponent is against Pitt.

College football fans are entering a brand new era of Big Ten football. With multiple big-name programs, including Oregon and USC, coming over from what used to be the Pac-12, this hard-nosed conference will now feature an entirely different style of football.

Over the past few seasons, the Michigan Wolverines have dominated the conference, but with JJ McCarthy and Jim Harbaugh gone, the Ohio State Buckeyes can reclaim the throne. It certainly won't be easy for the Buckeyes, though, with multiple ranked teams joining their schedule, and with that, we'll look at the current betting odds to win the Big Ten Conference Championship game.

Ohio State Buckeyes: The Buckeyes are one of the best teams in the country when it comes to reloading on talent. Well, their new-look roster for 2024 was on full display in week two of the season against Western Michigan, as new quarterback Will Howard threw for 292 yards and one touchdown, while freshman wideout pulled in 119 yards and one touchdown. After cruising through non-conference play, the Buckeyes started conference play with two blowout wins over Michigan State and Iowa, as they will now head on the road to Oregon to play the Ducks.

Oregon Ducks: In their first season in the Big Ten, the Oregon Ducks will have an experienced quarterback under center in transfer Dillon Gabriel. The transfer quarterback has started his Ducks career with two narrow victories over Idaho and Boise State, but he made sure the Ducks ran up the score on their rival Oregon State. In his first conference game, Gabriel made light work over a former Pac-12 foe, UCLA, and followed that up with a win over Michigan State, giving the team some momentum for their meeting with Ohio State.

Penn State Nittany Lions: The Nittany Lions have consistently placed themselves on the outside looking into the College Football Playoff, but a big season from quarterback Drew Allar could change that. The gunslinger certainly looked improved in the Nittany Lions season-opening win over West Virginia, throwing for 216 yards and three touchdowns. After two more non-conference wins, the Nittany Lions opened conference play with wins over Illinois and UCLA, leading them into a road matchup with USC.

Over the past five seasons, the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners have won three of the five Conference Championship games. Well, both schools have moved to the SEC, which opens the door for new and old faces to take over.

One of those new teams is the Utah Utes, who were the favorites to win the conference until they fell to Arizona at home. The Big 12 is also the new home for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes. To find out where they stand in terms of betting odds, you can check out the updated odds below.

Iowa State Cyclones: Out of everyone, the Cyclones may have the most favorable schedule in the entire conference. By squeaking past Iowa in week two, the Cyclones are 5-0 heading into week seven. After beating Baylor, Iowa State will continue conference play with WVU and UCF. While the Cyclones will be on the road to play West Virginia, they'll return home to play UCF and Texas Tech.

Kansas State Wildcats: The Wildcats may have dropped a tough game on the road to BYU in their conference opener, but they quickly bounced back with a blowout win over Oklahoma State. K-State is undoubtedly more than within striking distance to win the conference, and fresh off a bye-week, they will head to Colorado to take on the Buffaloes.

Utah Utes: In their first season in the Big 12, the experienced Utes can take over the conference. Utah won their first two conference games, but they ended up dropping the ball at home and losing to Arizona. The availability of Cam Rising has remained the biggest mystery in the sport, but if they can return soon, the Utes remain in a good spot to reach the conference championship.
