NCAAF 2024 Conference Championship Odds | SEC, ACC, Big-10, and Big-12

The SEC has remained the premier conference in college football, and this season, the talent pool gets even deeper, with Texas and Oklahoma joining the mix. As we inch closer to the season, there are currently nine SEC teams on Athlon Sports' preseason Top-25, and once the season starts, that number will surely increase, as teams like Kentucky could surprise people.

Aside from the College Football Playoff, winning the SEC Title game is one of the biggest wins a team can have each season, and here we'll break down the odds of winning the Conference Championship game for the historic Southeastern Conference.

Georgia Bulldogs: After winning back-to-back National Championships, the Georgia Bulldogs failed to make the College Football Playoff last season. While they would also go on to lose a lot of talent to the NFL, the Bulldogs will enter this season with current Heisman favorite Carson Beck under center.

Not only will Beck be leading a high-powered offense, but the Bulldogs' defense is also expected to be one of the best in the country. They are coming off a season in which they ranked fifth in average points allowed per game (15.64).

Texas Longhorns: Quinn Ewers and the Texas Longhorns are making quite the jump from the Big 12 to the SEC, but on the bright side, they are entering the league in its first season without Nick Saban controlling the Alabama sideline for quite some time. The Longhorns saw Ewers take a big step in his development last season, and while he lost his two best weapons, the Longhorns were able to bring in Silas Bolden and Isaiah Bond through the transfer portal.

Ole Miss Rebels: If there was ever a time for Lane Kiffin to take over the SEC, it would be this season. After finishing 11-2 last season, the Rebels returned one of the best quarterbacks in the country, Jaxson Dart, while also bringing in one of the top defensive transfers in the country, Walter Nolen. The projected first-round defensive lineman will be tasked with improving a defense that was 34th in the country last season in points allowed per game (22.08).

While there was extensive debate about it, the ACC did not have a representative in the 2023 College Football Playoff. After losing Jordan Travis to an injury, the selection committee decided Florida State would not receive an invite to the CFP despite still winning the ACC Title game.

Entering the 2024 season, the Seminoles are favored to become repeat champions in the ACC, as they will have a new signal-caller under center in DJ Uiagalelei. The Seminoles proved last season they are the team to beat in the Atlantic Coastal Conference, but there are certainly a few teams who could steal the throne from them this season, and we'll break down all of those teams' odds to win the 2024 ACC Championship game.

Florida State Seminoles: While they may have won the ACC, the Florida State Seminoles 2023 season was heartbreaking. Jordan Travis had the Seminoles playing their best football in years prior to his injury, and now the team will have a very new look offense with Travis and the team's top three leading receivers now in the NFL.

To repeat as champions, the Seminoles will put their faith in DJ Uiagalelei, who is returning to the ACC after playing a season at Oregon State. With the quarterback position secured, the true question for the Seminoles is if their defense can perform at the same level as last season after losing multiple key players to the NFL Draft.

Clemson Tigers: Last season, the Clemson Tigers became a non-factor in the ACC for the first time in years. With a 4-4 conference record and a 9-4 overall record, the Tigers finished 6th in the conference in Cade Klubnik's first full season as the starter. The Tigers still have a talented roster, but Dabo Swinney's unwillingness to attack the transfer portal could lead to another down year for Clemson.

Miami Hurricanes: The FSU Seminoles are not the only Florida school in this conference that will be rolling out a new quarterback, as the Miami Hurricanes went out and signed former Washington State standout Cam Ward. In two seasons at Washington State, Ward threw for 48 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. Ultimately, the Hurricanes season will come down to how far their coaching staff allows them to go because the talent is there.

College football fans are entering a brand new era of Big Ten football. With multiple big-name programs, including Oregon and USC, coming over from what used to be the Pac-12, this hard-nosed conference will now feature an entirely different style of football.

Over the past few seasons, the Michigan Wolverines have dominated the conference, but with JJ McCarthy and Jim Harbaugh gone, the Ohio State Buckeyes have the chance to reclaim the throne. It certainly won't be easy for the Buckeyes, though, with multiple ranked teams joining their schedule, and with that, we'll take a look at the current betting odds to win the Big Ten Conference Championship game.

Ohio State Buckeyes: The Buckeyes are one of the best teams in the country when it comes to reloading on talent. After losing Marvin Harrison Jr. to the NFL Draft and Kyle McCord to the transfer portal, the Buckeyes offense is still expected to be one of the best in the country, with Chip Kelly now calling the plays. Ohio State was not only able to grab quarterback Will Howard out of the portal, but they brought in Quinshon Judkins and the number one recruit in the country in wide receiver Jeremiah Smith.

Oregon Ducks: In their first season in the Big Ten, the Oregon Ducks will have an experienced quarterback under center in transfer Dillon Gabriel. Oregon's offense will undoubtedly be a tough one to stop for fellow conference foes, but the big story is their defense, which was dominant last season, as head coach Dan Lanning had his team ranked 21st in opponent yards per game in 2023.

Penn State Nittany Lions: The Nittany Lions have consistently placed themselves on the outside looking into the College Football Playoff, but a big season from quarterback Drew Allar could change that. Penn State is hoping that Allar can take a big step forward this season since their defense is one of the best in the country. They were second in the country last year in yards allowed per game (256.6) and third in points allowed per game (14).

Over the past five seasons, the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners have won three of the five Conference Championship games. Well, both schools have moved to the SEC, which opens the door for new and old faces to take over.

One of those new teams is the Utah Utes, who are the current betting favorites to win the Big-12 Title game in their first season as conference members. The Big 12 is also the new home for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes, and to find out where they stand in terms of betting odds, you can check out the updated odds down below.

Utah Utes: In their first season in the Big 12, the experienced Utes have a chance to take over the conference. With Cam Rising back under center after missing last year, the Utes' offense should have success against Big 12 defenses.

Utah also improved its defense through the portal, bringing in EDGE rusher Paul Fitzgerald, safety Alaka'i Gilman, and cornerback Cameron Calhoun. After finishing 20th in points allowed per game last season, the Utes could boast the best defense in the conference this season.

Kansas State Wildcats: The Wildcats lost their long-time quarterback, Will Howard, to the portal, but their replacement, Avery Johnson, could be a breakout candidate at the position this season. When he saw the field last season, Johnson threw for five touchdowns and rushed for seven, as his legs will make the Wildcats offense a tough one to slow down this season.

Oklahoma State Cowboys: Led by arguably the best running back in the country, Ollie Gordon, and an experienced quarterback, Alan Bowman, the Cowboys will be one of the tougher offenses in the conference to stop. Defense is the biggest thing standing in the way of the Cowboys and a conference title. In 2023, the Cowboys allowed an average of 28.6 points per game, which was the tenth most in the conference.
