Las Vegas Aces: The reigning champs got off to a slow start this season, but they have since started to kick it into high gear, winning eight of their last ten games. While they may sit in fifth place in the overall league standings, the Aces are averaging a league-high 89.4 points per game, which in large part is due to A'ja Wilson's averaging 27 points per game.

If there is one area that could stop the Aces from winning their third consecutive championship, it would be their defense. Even with Wilson leading the league in blocks per game, the Aces rank 6th in defensive rating at (101.5).

New York Liberty: With a 10-1 record at home this season, the New York Liberty are tied for the league's best record at 17-4. Behind Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, and Jonquel Jones, the Liberty also lead the league in offense rating (107.7) and NET rating (11.5).

Overall, New York has put themselves in an excellent position for the postseason, as home court advantage could go a long way for them. Of course it also helps that they lead the league in effective field goal percentage at 52.8%.

Minnesota Lynx: As we head towards the middle of June, the Lynx have the third-best record in the league at 15-6. Minnesota is another team that thrives at home, but they have struggled to produce at the same level on the road, posting a 5-4 record through their nine road games. Regardless of their road record, the Lynx have the second-best NET rating in the league (9.7), which, unlike the Liberty, stems from their impressive defensive play.

The added attention to the WNBA has, in large part, stemmed from an exciting rookie class headlined by the likes of Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and Cameron Brink, who unfortunately had her season cut short due to injury. Since the draft, Caitlin Clark has remained the favorite to win the Rookie of the Year, but Angel Reese has been on a tear as of late, so with that, we will break down the betting odds for the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year.

Caitlin Clark (Indiana Fever): Caitlin Clark is the biggest women's basketball player in the world, and she has still managed to live up to sky-high expectations during her first WNBA season. The former Iowa superstar is fresh off becoming the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double, which gives her an average of 16.1 points, 7.4 assists, and 6.0 rebounds per game this season.

Clark has the attention set on her every game, and while she has been at the center of a lot of unwanted controversy or attention, her offensive ability has never wavered. In reality, Fever fans want her to be even more aggressive offensively as they head into the second half of the season.

Angel Reese (Chicago Sky): If it weren't for Clark, Angel Reese would be the clear-cut favorite for this award. Over the weekend, she became the first player in WNBA history to record 13 consecutive double-doubles, which has her averaging 14.1 points and 11.9 rebounds per game this season.

With the season about halfway over, Reese still has a ways to go before she overtakes Clark to be the favorite for this award. However, with her dominance in the paint, she still has a fighting chance, espeicailly if she can maintain her impressive double-double streak.
