New York Liberty: With a 14-2 record at home this season, the New York Liberty currently have the league's best record at 27-6. Behind Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, and Jonquel Jones, the Liberty also lead the league in offense rating (107.1) and NET rating (12.2).

Overall, New York has put themselves in an excellent position for the postseason, as home-court advantage could go a long way for them. Of course, it also helps that they are second in the league in effective field goal percentage at 52.5%.

Las Vegas Aces: The reigning champs got off to a slow start this season, but they have since started to kick it into high gear and are now knocking on the door of a playoff bid. While they may sit in fifth place in the overall league standings, the Aces are averaging a league-high 87.2 points per game, which in large part is due to A'ja Wilson's averaging 27.5 points per game.

If there is one area that could stop the Aces from winning their third consecutive championship, it would be their defense. Even with Wilson leading the league in blocks per game, the Aces rank 6th in defensive rating at (101).

Minnesota Lynx: As we head into September, the Lynx have the third-best record in the league at 24-9. Minnesota is another team that thrives at home, but they have struggled to produce at the same level on the road, posting a 9-6 record through their 15 road games. Regardless of their road record, the Lynx have the second-best NET rating in the league (8.1), which, unlike the Liberty, stems from their impressive defensive play.

The added attention to the WNBA has, in large part, stemmed from an exciting rookie class headlined by the likes of Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and Cameron Brink, who unfortunately had her season cut short due to injury. Since the draft, Caitlin Clark has remained the favorite to win the Rookie of the Year, but Angel Reese has been on a tear as of late, so with that, we will break down the betting odds for the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year.

Caitlin Clark (Indiana Fever): Caitlin Clark is the most prominent women's basketball player in the world, and she has still managed to live up to sky-high expectations during her first WNBA season. The former Iowa superstar has already set multiple rookie records, and on the season, she is averaging 17.9 points, 8.3 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game.

Clark has the attention set on her every game, and while she has been at the center of a lot of unwanted controversy or attention, her offensive ability has never wavered. In reality, Fever fans want her to be even more aggressive offensively as they hope to sneak into a playoff spot.

Angel Reese (Chicago Sky): If it weren't for Clark, Angel Reese would be the clear-cut favorite for this award. Not only did she set the record for most consecutive double-doubles in WNBA history, but she is also averaging a league-high 12.9 rebounds per game, along with 13.5 points per game. Even if she can't edge out Clark for this award, Reese has proven she can be a perennial All-Star in the league.
