Tennis US Open Odds

The fourth and final Grand Slam event of each tennis season is the US Open. It is played each season at the historic USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York and is one of two Grand Slam events played on hard courts. Last year, Novak Djokovic won the event for the 4th time in his illustrious career, but even with his strong history, he's currently second on the odds board in most shops behind Carlos Alcaraz.

Here, we'll break down the betting odds for both the men's and women's events so tennis bettors can start getting their wagers in for the final Grand Slam event of the 2024 season.

Carlos Alcaraz (+105 to +165): With a win at Wimbledon, Alcaraz secured his second Grand Slam of 2024, and with how he's played at Wimbledon, it is no surprise that the world #3 has the best odds to win the US Open. In the three years that Alcaraz has played in the US Open, he has reached the quarterfinals, won the title, and reached the semi-finals, so like most Grand Slam events, he has a good history.

In 2023, it was Daniil Medvedev who knocked Alcaraz out of the US Open, and the young superstar took care of him at Wimbledon. With Alcaraz also beating Djokovic in the finals, he should have a lot of momentum entering the US Open.

Novak Djokovic (+185 to +240): Knee surgery would slow down most people, let alone professional athletes, but the one person who cannot slow down is Novak Djokovic. Just one month after a knee procedure, Djokovic reached the finals at Wimbledon but fell short to Alcaraz.

As far as the US Open goes, Djokovic has been playing in the event since 2005, and in 2023, he won it for the fourth time in his illustrious career. So even more than Alcaraz, the Serbian superstar has proven to be more than comfortable playing at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

Jannik Sinner (+170 to +240): Sinner was knocked out of Wimbledon during the quarter-finals, so he will be looking to win his second Grand Slam of 2024 at the US Open. The young Italian won the first Grand Slam event in 2024 at the Australian Open, but finishing the GS season on a high note may be difficult given his struggles at the US Open. In five US Open's in his career, Sinner has only reached the quarter-finals once, as he was bounced in the 4th round in 2023.

Iga Swiatek (+275 to +350): Swiatek broke through for the first time at the US Open in 2022, but she could not recapture the magic in 2023, as she was eliminated in the 4th round. Aside from her title at the 2024 French Open, Swiatek has not had a ton of success at Grand Slam events, as she was just recently eliminated from Wimbledon in the third round.

Swiatek's history at the US Open is not the best. Aside from her win in 2022, she has not made it past the fourth round the other four times she's played in New York. In general, in her career, Swiatek has preferred the clay courts of the French Open and has not played her best tennis on the acrylic hard courts at the Australian or US Open.

Aryna Sabalenka (+300 to +550): Sabalenka was incredibly impressive during her run at the 2023 US Open, where she finished as the runner-up. Not only that, but she started the 2024 season on a high note by winning the Australian Open and then followed that up by making the quarter-finals of the French Open.

The only problem for Sabalenka entering the US Open is that she has not played much tennis recently. A shoulder injury forced her to retire during the quarter-finals of the Berlin Ladies Open, which also caused her to miss Wimbledon. She is expected to return to action at the US Open, so while she's missed some time, she will at least get to play on hard courts, which she has seemed to prefer over the past few years.

Coco Gauff (+500 to +900): After reaching the semi-finals of her first two Grand Slam events of 2024, Gauff made a fourth-round exit at Wimbledon. Even with the early exit over the past week, Gauff is still playing at an exceptionally high level, boasting a 13-3 win-loss record in Grand Slam events this season, as she heads into the lone GS event she has won in her career.
