College basketball is one of the most exhilarating sports out there, and a big reason for that is the NCAA Tournament or March Madness. The 64-team event is one of the best spectacles the American eye can see, and whether or not that is a stretch can be discussed on a different day. Winning a national championship remains the ultimate goal of every team, but before they get there, they must win their region and advance to the infamous Final Four.
Placing futures on a National Championship winner can undoubtedly be profitable, but with the unpredictability of college basketball, it can also be incredibly challenging. With that, bettors can also open their futures portfolio by placing bets on teams to make the Final Four, and down below, we'll break down the odds for some of the top teams in the country to reach those esteemed contests.

UConn Huskies: Not only have the Huskies made two straight trips to the Final Four, but they've won consecutive National Championships. While the Huskies did lose a lot of talent from last season, they were able to reload through the transfer portal and with big-name freshmen. Between returners like Alex Karaban and freshmen like Liam McKneeley, the Huskies will be tough to knock off this season.
Duke Blue Devils: The Blue Devils have had plenty of notable recruiting classes this year, but their current class may be their best since Zion Williamson's days. Duke brought in Cooper Flagg, the country's number one recruit, along with guys like Kon Knueppel and Khaman Maluach. Outside of the freshman, Duke has a few notable returners like Tyrese Proctor and transfer portal additions like Maliq Brown.
Kansas Jayhawks: In the first AP Poll of the season, the Kansas Jayhawks were ranked as the #1 team in the country. The Jayhawks will be bringing back first-team All-American Hunter Dickinson and Dajuan Harris Jr. Of course, no team would be complete without transfer portal additions, and Kansas went out and got AJ Storr and Rylan Griffin.

Cooper Flagg (Duke): The last freshman to win this award just so happens to be another Duke star in, Zion Williamson. While Williamson was at Duke, the games became must-watch TV, and Flagg has a chance to make that the case again this season with his scoring and athletic ability. While the Blue Devils have a few veterans they will rely on, their offense will likely go as Flagg goes. To open the 2024 season, Flagg has averaged 16.3 points and 9.5 rebounds per game.
Mark Sears (Alabama Crimson Tide): Sears was one of the biggest reasons why Alabama reached the Final Four last season, and he'll be a significant factor if they return to that spot this season. Sears put up a career-high 21.5 points per game in 2023-24, and he has followed that up by starting the 2024-25 season with 17.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
Hunter Dickinson (Kansas): Over the past few seasons, the Wooden Award has landed in the hands of an experienced big man. Well, Dickinson fits that mold this year, as he's been around for quite a while and knows how to get his points. In his first season at Kansas, Dickinson averaged 17.9 points per game and a career-high 10.9 rebounds per game. Dickinson is a man amongst boys, so if he can dominate like the veteran big men over the years, then his name will often be heard in the discussion for this award. To start his final season, Dickinson is averaging 17.8 points and 10.4 rebounds per game, which is the 16th-highest average in the league.

Duke: There isn't a more hyped freshman class this season than the one Duke has to offer. Headlined by Cooper Flagg, the Blue Devils look to remain a powerhouse and win their first regular season title since 2022. The Blue Devils offer the perfect balance of experienced players and young phenoms, making them a tough team to stop on the offensive end.
North Carolina: The Tar Heels won the ACC regular season title last season, and they are returning key players like RJ Davis and Eliot Cadeau. While the Tar Heels will no longer have Armando Bacot underneath, they will have Ven-Allen Lubin and Jalen Washington underneath. Of course, the Tar Heels will also have a highly touted freshman in Ian Jackson, who should help make the Tar Heels offense just as explosive as last season.

Purdue: The Boilermakers have dominated the Big Ten over the past two seasons, winning the regular season title in consecutive years. Purdue's identity revolved around Zach Edey in those seasons, but even with him in the NBA now, the Boilermakers project to be solid. Returning veterans like Braden Smith and Foster Loyer will be able to stretch the defense, while guys like Trey Kaufman-Renn and 7'4 freshman Daniel Jacobson handle the paint.
UCLA: In their first season in the Big Ten, the Bruins are looking like they will be one of the best teams in the conference. Mick Cronin's team will have their deepest roster in years with returning guys like Lazar Stefonovic, Dylan Andrews, Sebastian Mack, and Aday Mara. UCLA also brought in Skyy Clark through the portal and freshman Trent Perry, who makes the Bruins backcourt dangerous, no matter which unit is in.

UConn: The Huskies not only won the regular season title in the Big East last year, but they have won the National Championship in consecutive seasons. While the Huskies did lose key players like Donovan Clingan and Stephon Castle, they return guys like Alex Karaban, who will play alongside freshman like Liam McKneeley and transfers like Aidan Mahaney. Under Dan Hurley, the Huskies will continue to be the premier team in the Big East.
Creighton: Despite losing two important players from last season, the Bluejays are loaded with veteran talent. Between Steven Ashworth, Pop Isaacs, Mason Miller, and Ryan Kalkbrenner, the Bluejays have been around the block and know how to handle the grueling Big East schedule.

Kansas: It's hard to find a more consistent team than the Kansas Jayhawks. Over the past five seasons, Kansas has won the regular season title three times, and they will have preseason All-American Hunter Dickinson leading the squad this year. Outside of Dickinson, the Jayhawks brought in some talented transfers in AJ Storr and Rylan Griffen. Bill Self's teams always play exceptionally hard, and once again, they will be one of the more talented teams in the Big 12.
Houston: The Cougars are the reigning regular season champs in the Big 12 and are returning a potential Conference Player of the Year winner in LJ Cryer. The defensive-minded Cougars have been able to wear teams out on that end of the floor for the past few seasons, and it doesn't look like that will change.

Alabama: The transfer portal has been kind to the Crimson Tide over the past few years, and this season will be no different. Alabama brought in Latrell Wrightsell Jr., Chris Youngblood, and Cliff Omoruyi, who will play alongside Mark Sears and Grant Nelson. Alabama reached the Final Four last year, and with their experienced group of scoring threats, they seem primed for another deep run in the SEC and NCAA Tournament.
Auburn: Bruce Pearl has brought the Auburn Tigers back to relevancy in the SEC, and behind Johni Broome, the Tigers will look to win their first regular season title since 2022. The Tigers were 11th in the country last season in points per game, and with transfer JP Pegues running the offense, they should be able to run teams out of the gym again this season.
