Two Bets for Kings @ Grizzlies

One of the hottest teams in the NBA looks to continue their winning ways tonight as the Sacramento Kings will head into Memphis to take on the Grizzlies. The Kings are on a six-game winning streak and take on a Grizzlies team tonight that is decimated with injuries. Memphis will be without Ja Morant and Desmond Bane which is a big factor in why they are currently +2.5 point underdogs at home.

There are two prop bets on the board tonight that have stood out to me, one for each team, and each has a lot of value based on the situation of tonight’s game.

Prop Bet #1: Dillon Brooks Over 22.5 Points (-120)

With all the injuries the Grizzlies are dealing with the majority of the scoring will now fall on Brooks and based on the fact that he attempted 30 field goal attempts in their last game I don’t think he minds the role.

In the first game Memphis relied on him to supply the scoring Brooks had 31 points and is currently averaging 17.3 ppg in his last 10 games.

Brooks was able to score 31 against a Nets team who has looked better defensively as of late but tonight he’ll play against a Kings team allowing an average of 117.5 ppg and whose opponents are shooting 39.2% from three against them. Despite being on a winning streak the Sacramento defense has allowed 120 or more points to be scored in three of those wins so Brooks will get his chances tonight.

The Grizzlies are fourth in the league field goal attempts a game so there is no question Brooks will be leading the charge and lead the team in those attempts tonight. Sacramento plays at the eighth-highest pace in the NBA so they won’t be trying to slow the game down and force long possessions.

Outside of a large amount three-point attempts Brooks has also taken 80 shot attempts in the paint this season which could be a factor in his game tonight since the Kings allow the third most points to be scored in the paint per game this season.

Prop Bet #2: Harrison Barnes Over 19.5 Points + Rebounds (-106)

With the way the Kings' offense has played of late it is no surprise they are on a six-game winning streak. Harrison Barnes has been a big factor in this team's success and has had three straight solid performances. In his last 10 games, Barnes is averaging 20 points + rebounds a game and had a combined 36 in their last game against the Pistons.

The depleted Grizzlies are allowing an average of 114 points per game and have been a bit below average when it comes to limiting their opponent's rebounds. Barnes has been averaging 6.2 rebounds a game over his last 10 games while also shooting an incredibly efficient 48.3% from the field in that stretch as well.

Sacramento has played in high-scoring games over their winning streak and I don’t think tonight will be any different. I mentioned it previously but Memphis likes to get a ton of field goal attempts up a game so rebound opportunities shouldn't be hard to come by tonight for Barnes. Much like the Kings, the Grizzlies have struggled to limit points in the paint, which is where Barnes likes to do a majority of his scoring.
