NBA Best Bets November 9th

After no NBA games were played last night the games are back on today with 13 games on the schedule. With a majority of teams in action, there is plenty of options when it comes to finding the best games to place bets on. As for tonight’s slate, I found three games that will be the focus of my best bets.

Best Bet #1

At 7:00 PM ET tonight the Denver Nuggets will head to Indiana to take on the Pacers and this game will be the focus of my first bet of the night. The Pacers can be found as (+6.5) point underdogs at home and I’ll be rolling with them as my underdog pick of the night.

Indiana has a 5-5 record this season but in their last five games they have gone 5-0 ATS and I think they will continue with this streak of covering games. In the last game, the Pacers played they were also home underdogs against the Pelicans and they won the game outright 129-122 after closing as (+5.5) point underdogs. Despite being 28th in the league in points allowed with an average of 118 a game the Pacers can score with anybody and are ranked 5th in the NBA in average points per game.

The Pacers distribute the ball incredibly well on offense led by Tyrese Haliburton and his team-leading 9.70 assists per game. Denver might have a 7-3 record this season but it hasn’t been their defense that’s allowed the strong start. The Nuggets allow an average of 26.4 assists per game on defense and face off tonight with a Pacers team who is 4th in the league in assists per game.

Denver is 2-4 ATS when on the road this season and I expect that trend to continue tonight. The way Tyrese Haliburton and Bennedict Mathurin have been playing this season has allowed the Pacers to stay in these games where they are underdogs and I think they can keep it close tonight.

Best Bet #2

For my second play of the night, I’ll be taking a road favorite in the Memphis Grizzlies who are currently (-5.5) against the San Antonio Spurs. After a hot start to the season, the Spurs have come back down to earth and enter tonight on a four-game losing streak so I’ll be rolling with the young and exciting Grizzlies to cover on the road.

The Spurs defense is ranked close to dead last in a large majority of defensive categories which does not bode well against a Grizzlies team who is 9th in the NBA in offensive rating. Desmond Bane has been having a breakout season and is shooting 45.9% from three this season and I’m expecting another big game as he faces a San Antonio team struggling to stop three-point scoring so far this year.

Memphis has gone 5-1 ATS in the last 6 match-ups between these two teams and 11-3 ATS in the last 14 games they’ve played on the road against losing teams. This San Antonio defense has allowed 113 points or more over this four-game losing streak and if that trend continues I like the Grizzlies to cruise tonight.

Best Bet #3

My last bet of the night is in the form of a prop bet but before I get into it this bet is only currently available on either DraftKings or Caesars Sportsbook so if these sportsbooks are not available to you, unfortunately, it will be difficult to find this bet. For those who can use those sportsbooks my last bet of the night is Cade Cunningham over 25.5 points and assists.

In his last ten games, Cunningham is averaging 27.7 points and assists and tonight’s total is the lowest it’s been in those ten games. Cunningham has only scored less than 20 points in four of his last ten games and is averaging 6 assists a game in that span as well. The Pistons rely on Cunningham to supply their offense so the opportunities will be there for him, not to mention I think it’s worth jumping on this number since it’s the lowest it’s been in some time.

Recap
  • Indiana Pacers (+6.5)

  • Memphis Grizzlies (-5.5)

  • Cade Cunningham Over 25.5 Points and Assists
