The NBA won’t be in action tomorrow because of Thanksgiving so there will be 12 games on the schedule for tonight. Some really solid matchups will take place and two of them have very good value. We’ll go over the two bets and why they stand out so much.
It is very difficult to bet against the absolute machine that the Sacramento Kings have become but situationally I think they are at a major disadvantage in this one. Sacramento will be playing their third game in four days and despite being on a seven-game win streak I think the rested Hawks have the advantage tonight and will cover as home favorites.
Eventually, the Kings are going to lose one of these high-scoring offensive battles they’ve played in and the Hawks are 10th in the league in scoring so they possess the ability to outscore Sacramento tonight. Atlanta’s offense has done a good job of scoring in the second half this season so the Hawks could build a lead while the Kings' recent stretch of games catches up to them in the second half of this one.
Trae Young has torched the Kings throughout his NBA career and enters tonight playing at a really high level. Sacramento was able to wear down the depleted Grizzlies last night but I don’t think that will be the case tonight as the Hawks have fresh legs and no one on the injury report.
The Hawks are certainly missing the shooting of Kevin Huerter who will be on the opposite side tonight but the recent play and shooting of AJ Griffin have me confident the Hawks' shooting will turn around from three-point range. It’s tough to fade this Kings team but I think this is the right situation to do so.
The Celtics love playing at home and that has shown since the over is 6-1 when Boston plays at home this season. I’m expecting the Mavs to bounce back from their awful offensive showing in their last game and put up some points tonight. Dallas is tenth in offensive rating and Boston is first so if the Mavs shoot it better tonight the scoreboard could be lit up.
Luka Doncic is 5-2 in his career against the Celtics and has had three 30+ point games when playing in Boston. Spencer Dinwiddie is also expected to be available tonight so Doncic won’t have to be the only one the Mavs can rely on to score. It’s also worth noting Robert Williams may not be able to play tonight so if that’s the case look for Luka to take advantage and attack the rim often looking to get to the free-throw line.
With the way the Celtics play at home, it’s hard to imagine they don’t put up another strong offensive showing no matter how good the Dallas defense is. Boston doesn’t have the best offensive rating by accident.
