2024-2025 NHL MVP Odds - Current Hart Trophy Favorites
Connor McDavid fell one game short of his first Stanley Cup, but he did win his first Conn Smythe and was a finalist for his fourth Hart Trophy. The Oilers star is a member of an elite tier of NHL players that seemingly grows every season as more talent joins the league, making the race to win the MVP a contested one each season.
With the savior of Edmonton becoming one of just six players to win the Conn Smythe despite losing the series, it was unsurprising to see him open as the favorite to win the Hart Trophy for the 2024-25 season. However, after his injury, the race for the award is wide open, so there are still many options for NHL bettors to place futures on, including the 2023-24 winner, Nathan MacKinnon.

Kirill Kaprizov (Minnesota Wild): The Minnesota Wild have gotten off to a great start this season, and Kaprizov's play is a big reason for that. Through 15 games, the Wild star has 28 points, with 19 assists and nine goals. In the month of November, Kaprizov played six games, and in that span, he recorded three or more points in three of them.
Nathan MacKinnon (Colorado Avalanche): The Avalanche have not started the year as many expected them to. However, Nathan MacKinnon seems to be doing everything possible to turn things around, as he leads the league in points with 29 and assists with 22. MacKinnon has also registered seven goals through the team's first 15 games, so if he keeps on his current pace with points, he could be a tough guy to knock out of the top three on the odds board this season.
Connor McDavid (Edmonton Oilers): McDavid opened the 2024-25 season as the heavy favorite for the Hart Trophy, and after suffering an injury, he is back on the ice and back in the top three on the odds board. In 15 games this season, McDavid has 21 points on 14 assists and seven goals, as he recently recorded his 1,000th career point. Over his past four games alone, McDavid has recorded 11 points, as he's picked up at least two in each of those games.
