The 2024 NBA Draft class has not logged a minute of action in the league, but NBA fans and executives are already looking ahead to the 2025 Draft class. Many believe the 2025 class could be one of the best we've seen in years, with Duke freshman Cooper Flagg leading that group. Below, fans can stay up-to-date on the betting odds for which player will be chosen with the first pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Stay tuned for early 2025 draft betting odds...
Cooper Flagg (Duke Blue Devils): It's been no secret that multiple NBA franchises have been trying to align themselves for the best chance to land Cooper Flagg in the draft. The number one recruit in his class has been a sensation for quite a few years, and after deciding to attend Duke this upcoming season, all eyes will be on him.
Flagg has been labeled as an effortless scorer, and NBA players got a glimpse of that when Flagg showed up at Team USA's Olympic training camp and made multiple jaw-dropping plays. With the talent on their roster, the Duke Blue Devils will be must-see TV this upcoming season, but out of everyone, NBA execs will be locked in on Flagg.
Ace Bailey (Rutgers Scarlet Knights): The Rutgers Scarlet Knights landed two of the highest-rated recruits in the past recruiting cycle, and Ace Bailey is one of them. The 6'10 wing can score from anywhere on the floor and has an innate ability to create his own shot. While he may take some ill-advised shots at times, NBA teams view Bailey as an elite-level scoring threat.
VJ Edgecombe (Baylor Bears): Cooper Flagg was not the only player who got to show off his game with NBA players on the court this past summer. Incoming Baylor freshman VJ Edgecombe played for the Bahamas National Team during the Olympic qualifiers, and he jumped off the screen. Even with three NBA veterans around him, Edgecombe averaged 16.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. With his athleticism, Edgecombe will make a lot of jaw-dropping plays this upcoming season that will make NBA GMs pray for a chance to draft him.
