A lot can change in an off-season, and that is made pretty clear through the 2024-25 CFP Championship odds. After winning the National Championship last season, the Michigan Wolverines have lost their head coach, quarterback, running back, and multiple other starters to the NFL, which has led to them not even being in the top five on the odds board to win the title this season.
Instead of the Wolverines being favored to repeat, the Georgia Bulldogs are back at the top of the odds board, with Michigan’s rivals, the Ohio State Buckeyes, coming in right behind UGA. Now that the season is underway, we will start seeing the odds for this market move quite a bit, and college football fans can stay up to date with those odd changes down below.

Georgia Bulldogs: Losing to Alabama in the SEC Title game cost the Georgia Bulldogs an opportunity to win their third straight National Championship. While the Bulldogs did lose some big-time contributors on both sides of the ball to the NFL Draft, they have one of the Heisman favorites, Carson Beck, under center.
Well, the Bulldogs look to have continued their dominance into 2024. They opened their season with a blowout win over Clemson, in which they held them to just 3 points. With the defense looking dominant again this season, the Bulldogs look to be the team to beat again, especially since Carson Beck doesn't seem to have missed a step with his new receiving corps.
Ohio State Buckeyes: By Ohio State’s recent standards, they are coming off a down year, and by that, I mean they lost to Michigan, and after failing to make the CFP, they lost their bowl game. The Buckeyes also lost a few big-name players like Marvin Harrison Jr., but they’ll have the number one receiver from this recent recruiting class to fill in and be a primary target for their new quarterback, Will Howard.
The Buckeyes got the Will Howard era off with a bang, picking up a 52-6 win over Akron, in which star freshman wideout went for 92 yards and two touchdowns. Ohio State should cruise through the next few weeks as well, as their schedule doesn't pick up until October.
Oregon Ducks: The Oregon Ducks had a strong 2023 season, and after losing Bo Nix to the NFL Draft, they went out and picked up Dillon Gabriel, who was highly impressive in the Ducks' week one win over Idaho. While the game was closer than many expected, Gabriel showed that Oregon's offense can be a juggernaut again this season. With the rust now knocked off, Oregon will be a team to watch this season, especially in a new conference.
