While the U.S. team is loaded with talent, including future Hall of Fame inductees LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Steph Curry, the team also has rising superstars like Anthony Edwards.

In the words of a teenager, the U.S. national team is "stacked," but with more and more talent coming from around the world, their path to a gold medal may not be as easy as many would think. Current Favorites

USA (-400 to -625): International talent has started to overtake the NBA, but the U.S. Olympic team is still favored to win the gold medal and for a good reason. For starters, the USA has won four straight gold medals at the Olympic games and has multiple guys on the roster who have played in these games before. Kevin Durant himself has won three gold medals, while LeBron James has won two.

In 2024, the USA team will be starting in a group that includes Serbia, Puerto Rico, and South Sudan, so their biggest threat right off the bat is Serbia, who will have Nikola Jokic on the roster. Even with that, the U.S. should still cruise through the group stage, as the only problem for them could be the fact that they are a team full of alphas in a game where there is just one ball.

Canada (+900 to +1100): Outside of the U.S., the Canadian national team has the most NBA talent on their roster, headlined by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jamal Murray. Canada also has RJ Barett, Lu Dort, Dillon Brooks, and Kelly Olynyk on the team, which sets them up well in a group where their biggest competition will be Giannis Antetokounmpo and Greece.

The last time Canada medaled in an Olympic games was in 1936, so this team has a chance to make history. If there is one thing that may hold the Canadians back from a gold medal, it is their size, as a team like the U.S. has multiple big men who could find success against them. Overall, though, Canada has the scoring and defensive ability to get them into the later stages of the event.

France (+1200 to +1600): Size down low is the least of France's problems heading the Olympics, which is being held in their country. With Rudy Gobert and Victor Wembanyama down low, scoring in the paint could be a massive problem for opposing teams. France took silver in 2020, and they have only gotten better by adding Wembanyama, who will likely handle most of the scoring.
