2024 Cy Young Odds

Itโ€™s been quite some time since the Detroit Tigers had a bonafide ace leading their rotation, and now, as we enter June, that ace is sitting atop the AL Cy Young odds board. Meanwhile, in the NL, the Phillies have had their fair share of premier arms throughout the years, but current NL Cy Young favorite Ranger Suarez is looking to become the first since 2010 to win the award.

For as good as both Skubal and Suarez have been, the MLB season is a marathon, so there is still plenty of time for guys to fly up the odds board. To stay up to date on all of the latest movements in the AL and NL Cy Young race, follow the odds from all of the top Pennsylvania sports betting apps down below.

Current Favorites

Tarik Skubal (Detroit Tigers): For the first time all season, Tarik Skubal has looked human. Over his last two starts, the Tigers ace has allowed four earned runs in each outing, along with a combined three home runs.

Following his start against Atlanta, he is now pitching to a 2.73 FIP and 2.90 xFIP. With numbers like that, Skubal should be able to bounce back and return to form fairly quickly. However, another subpar outing could result in the lefty no longer being the odds-on favorite for this award, as Corbin Burnes is breathing down his neck.

Corbin Burnes (Baltimore Orioles): The transition to the American League has been no problem for this former Cy Young winner. In his most recent outing, the right-hander worked six innings and allowed two earned runs while striking out seven against the Phillies. Following that outing, Burnes moved closer to Skubal on the oddsboard and is now in the 91st percentile in xERA and 87th percentile in chase rate.

Tanner Houck (Boston Red Sox): The Red Sox ace had a string of impressive outings going, but over his last two starts, he has started to allow more contact. Following a quality outing against the Blue Jays in which Houck allowed two earned runs over 5.2 innings, he is now pitching to a 2.21 FIP and 2.91 xFIP with 89 strikeouts in 96.2 innings.

Current Favorites

Ranger Suarez (Philadelphia Phillies): The Phillies left-hander has overtaken his teammate Zack Wheeler to be the odds-on favorite to win the Cy Young. Suarez has taken a huge step in his career this season, which has led to a 2.68 FIP and 2.76 xFIP in 92.1 innings. Following his six-inning outing over San Diego, Suarez has now allowed one or fewer earned runs in ten of his 15 starts this season.

Tyler Glasnow (Los Angeles Dodgers): Glasnow had fallen out of the top three on the odds board for a few weeks, but his ability to rack up strikeouts has kept him right around the second or third spot on the odds board, depending on the book.

In his most recent start, Glasnow dominated the Royals, working seven shutout innings with nine strikeouts and three hits allowed. With that outing, Glasnow is currently boasting a 2.67 FIP and is in the 95th percentile in expected ERA.

Zack Wheeler (Philadelphia Phillies): After getting roughed up by the Orioles for eight earned runs in 4.1 innings, Wheeler has lost his spot at the top of the oddsboard. Prior to his start against Baltimore, the Phillies righty had turned in five straight outings with two or fewer earned runs, but over the course of a long season, a rough outing is bound to happen.

Following his start against the Orioles, Wheeler is in the 83rd percentile in expected batting average and is pitching to a 3.49 FIP and 3.46 xFIP in 92 innings of work this season.
